
How I Got Back on Track After the Holidays and Mexico!

Let’s be real—the holidays and my trip to Mexico took me out! I fully enjoyed myself (as we all should!), but when I got back, I knew I needed to reset and get back to feeling my best. So, I went back to square one with my routine, and it worked! If you’ve been wanting to get back on track too, here’s exactly what I did.
Step 1: Cleaning Up My Diet
I didn’t do anything extreme—just simple and sustainable changes that made a big difference. Here’s my daily breakdown:
Breakfast: High Protein, No Carbs
I started my mornings with protein-packed meals to keep me full and avoid that mid-morning crash. Some go-to’s:
- Eggs + chicken sausage (love the jalapeño one from Trader Joe’s) + avocado
- Cottage cheese + berries + a drizzle of honey
- Scrambled tofu + spinach + feta
To curb my sugar cravings, I ended every meal with a cup of tea and a little honey. My favorite tea helps with bloating and inflammation—link below!
Lunch: Balanced & Measured Carbs
For lunch, I added one measured cup of carbs and kept my protein and greens strong:
- Protein: Salmon, chicken, steak, or beef
- Carb: Brown rice, quinoa, sweet potato
- Greens: Spinach, arugula, or mixed greens
Again, tea after every meal! It’s been a game-changer.
Dinner: No Carbs, Just Protein & Greens
I kept dinner light but filling with a mix of lean protein and a good salad. Some favorites:
- Grilled chicken + Greek salad
- Shrimp + sautéed kale
- Turkey lettuce wraps
